biography Eccentric is the term most apply to him. Weird and freak are the others, but Ziggy reserved those words for when his set of paintings go down that path. Personally he uses ‘offbeat’. His parents were ‘offbeat’ too, rich retired battlers (with a few side jobs) from Orre, looking to settle somewhere a bit more cultured and less… rustic than retiring at Agate Village. Which meant going from the heat and sand of Orre to the cold snows if Snowbelle. His parents sure loved it, snow and high fashion seemed to suit them (suit their money at least). Not Ziggy though, he was gonna make it big! On his own! ....with his parents money as back up! Also he wanted a warmer place to live. Some time traveling around, a few years and then some in the fairy haven of Laverre, a quick jaunt of Lumiose life, and some Pokemon to call family, Ziggy was settling on the idea of settling. Studying under Santalune Gym Leader Viola seemed like a good gig - apparently over the years Kalos had enjoyed his paintings, and he had caught a few eyes. The fact he had bug Pokemon was just another sign to take the job, wasn't it? So there he went, and here he stays. Santalune Gym really was a great studio, and the constant stream of new trainers provided ample inspiration for pieces! Why, they even inspired him to try branching to other forms of media with… Varying rates of success. His painting output is still going strong, even with gym leader duties becoming more and more important. pokemon  Apple ♂Ziggy's first pokemon, a caterpie from a crate of Kanto apples that his parents had legally transported from Gateon Port. Enjoys laser pointers, apple pie, and having sweet psychic powers. Apple usually has a small red jacket with white trim, matching his trainer and keeping warm in the colder months! Compound Eyes: Apple is an accurate bug, his eyes are great at picking out movement - still targets, noooot so much. Teleport: The user and anything/one in contact is instantly moved to another location nearby. Long distance requires indepth memory and more energy. It took a lot of hunting and pestering to get an old TM30 to teach Apple Teleport. Ziggy had to lend Apple to his parents for a few side jobs now and then to pay the money back. Sleep Powder: Light greenish powder is shed from Apple's wings, making anyone who inhales or makes skin contact drowsy and eventually inducing sleep. Psybeam: A rainbow coloured beam of light and psychic energy is shot from a circle glyph created by Apple after a short delay. May cause confusion. Silver Wind: Apple whips up a gust of wind full of damaging wind scales and dust. Weak, but can cover a large area and buffet pokemon and weak ranged attacks away. Psychic: Puts psychic pressure on the opponent, attempting to throw them, manifesting in a blue-purple glow. Rarely used offensively, mainly for Apple to manipulate tools out of battle. An evolution of his naturally learned Confusion attack.  Peach ♀A smol frand made during a plein air session. Skittish and hates surprises. Often found sleeping in Ziggy's hoodie, and has tiny ribbons in her fuzz. Compound Eyes: Being quite skittish and high strung, and having an extra set of eyes, Peach is also quite an accurate little bug! Sometimes she sees too much though. Thunder Wave: Using targeted, nondamaging pulses of electricity, Peach causes the opponent's muscles to lock up randomly. Usually her first reaction to being startled. Electroweb: Weaving together silk and electricity, Peach traps and opponent, causing some damage and slowly them slightly. Good at catching slippery opponents and grounding them. Bug Bite: Scuttling onto the target, the joltik hunts for any berries to nibble. Either way she chomps on the target! X-Scissor: With her legs glowing a pale green gleam, Peach slashes with purpose in a x pattern. String Shot: Peach tangles up the target with sticky, strong webbing, making them trip up and slow down. Flash: Overloading herself, Peach lets out a blinding blast of light. Tends to be her other automatic reaction to being surprised.  Pomegranate (Pom)Both Team Dad and Team Mum. Should've been born an ursaring. Responsible for teaching Ziggy how to make and repair clothes, they help keep everyone fashionable~ They switch between vests and dresses. Chlorophyll: Everyone likes a nice clear day - Pom loves intense clear days. High heats help psych her up, making her even faster in combat. Leaf Blade: Sharpening their blades with a dark green gleam, Pom slashes at a target multiple times. Also good for cutting clothe! X-Scissor: Sharpening their blades with pale green gleam, Pom slashes in an x pattern. More focused than Leaf Blade, and more for breaking things. Agility: Focusing on their footwork, the leavanny speeds up, becoming more limber and aware of their body. String Shot: Ramping up their silk production, Pom creates a deceptively strong string. Easily entangles and slows down whoever gets wrapped up. Also great for sewing! False Swipe: Dulling her blades with a silvery green gleam, Pom strikes at a target. They can not knock out or cause lasting damage using this move.  Papaya ♀A large horse dog bug. Docile, patient, and an excellent carrier of various goods. Enjoy curling up in the sun and having quiet days. Has a saddle and a bunch of baskets, and straps to tie things onto. Poison Point: When under threat - like in a battle! - Papaya will continuously secrete her natural poison, with the chance of poisoning anyone who makes contact. Toxic: Concentrating her poison into a single glob, Papaya poisons a target. The poison gradually worsens as the target moves about. Venom Drench: Using a different combination of chemicals, Papaya harshly lowers the attack, special attack, and speed of a poisoned target. Toxic Spikes: Tosses poisonous spikes all around the battle field, poisoning any pokemon who stumbles on them. With two layers, it causes badly poisoned. Can be absorbed by poison types. Iron Defense: Hardening her shell, Papaya sharply raises her defense. Also makes her shell slightly shiny! Pursuit: Papaya chases down a target and tries to gore them. If the pokemon flees, or attempts to be switched out in any way, the attack does more damage. X-Scissor: Sharpening her horns with a pale green gleam, Papaya attempts to ram and slash at the target.  Coconut ♀The baby of the team - not the youngest, but the newest member. Lives in quick bursts of energy, and gets sleepy easily. Wants to be more badarse than Pom. All attempts to give her clothes literally go up in flames, since she gets too excited to control her flames from burning. Flame Body: When in a threatening situation - like a battle! - Coconut's body heats up by a great amount, fire flickering from her horns. Contact with the larvesta may cause a burn. Flame Charge: Using flames, Coconut propels herself forward. Repeated uses warms her up, making her faster. The flames are focused on utility, weaker than other offensive fires, and will not cause a burn. Bug Bite: The larvesta noms on the target. If they are holding an item, she homes in and chows it down! Flame Wheel: Focusing flames outwards and around herself, Coconut tackles into the enemy. Unlike Flame Charge, the fire is purely for damage, and may cause a burn. Sunny Day: Drawing on her supposed sun birth place, Coconut causes the local weather to clear up and become even hotter than normal, for a short time.
